I went for a walk along the river the other day and there is a nice crop of dogbane coming up.So who all out there makes cordage from dogbane.

So are you folks keeping up on your skills, I got lazy about the hand drill,I guess because it's so eazy to get a coal with the bowdrill,but that is the wrong way to think,you need to own the skills. So I have been working with the hand drill every day and it is coming back. The set that I have been working with is mullein drill and cottonwood fire board

Hi all, Aboguy here, I am new to this blog world, so I will learn as I go. I have been a outdoors person for most of my life,my Dad started me hunting and fishing at a young age,and then I got into backpacking as a teenager, I have been studying primitive skills for some time now, I am a member of the SPT, and I have attended Rabbit Stick the last few years.
